About Agape
At Agapecare Foodbank in Spalding, we offer a hand to those facing hard times. With open arms and warm hearts, our doors are open twice weekly at the Lighthouse Church on Haverfield Road. Here, every Tuesday and Thursday from noon until 2 PM, we provide emergency food support to the Spalding area community in crisis.
We give out over 1000 food parcels annually via the Foodbank. Our foodbank wouldn’t thrive without the continuous support from our community bins at Sainsburys and Morrisons, nor without the fresh produce regularly supplied by Frieburger and our local farmers. The young students with learning disabilities who volunteer their time also deserve immense appreciation for their dedication to our cause.
Our kitchen also provides over 2,000 hot takeaway meals along with filled rolls and hot soup. The Larder’s doors also open twice a week, echoing our commitment to providing not just food, but hope and dignity to our neighbours. We’re grateful for the Household Support Fund grants, enabling us to distribute supermarket vouchers to those most in need.
